okay, not exactly a running start, but at least it's forward momentum. also, in my defense! i didn't even decide to attempt nanowrimo until after my night class. (it's not my fault my brain doesn't turn on until 7pm.) even worse, it took me forever to settle on what nano idea i wanted to write. still, i'm always a little terrible at starting fics so i wasn't expecting my word count to be very high on the first day anyways. here's hoping i don't hate every word in the morning.
